When to go

Island timing

  • Caribbean: December–April is the peak dry season. Holidays sell out 9–12 months ahead.

  • Hurricane season (June–November): Aruba and Curaçao are usually great choices, sitting outside the main hurricane belt.

  • Maldives: December–April is the driest, sunniest season.

  • French Polynesia: May–October is dry, and ideal for honeymoons.
